You can tank with the build from the start. That build will work at low QLs. I would, however, recommend if you are going to solo to go with the Survival Claw/Blade, whiel the tanking will work, the difference between the builds for survival soloing and tanking soloing is noticeable..

Can this be used for soloing? I am a new player and in other MMOs (WoW, RIFT) I have almost always been a tank, and usually the tank build also works pretty well as survivability when doing normal questing. Is that also the case in TSW, or would I have to go with one of the survival builds and wait to get more AP in order to tank?

Late response here, but in defense of this build, it is made for elites; hence the impair/hinder immunity does not apply.

Wandering around London isn’t fruitless. If you notice his personal details says he likes yellow and fish and chips. If you go to the fish and chips place with the yellow sign there is a note on the counter. The note says something about leaving the village and asking the barmaid Sophie next door about a place to sleep. That is the clue to get you to the Besieged Farmlands.

Anyone have a recent update to this build? I have a character I’m leveling specifically as a healer and really like fist. I’m using the “My first 60″ fist/blood build but want something with more dps for when I’m running missions.

hi aela i have been following your ar/blade aoe dps im kinda stuck with gearing like i have 1 piece of major heal rating gear and the rest dps with hit and crit glyphs and i find it a real struggle against groups of mobs in blue mountains or single iknow the build is built around aoe with the slackness of single target. just wondering on the gear side of things any help would bne great thanks

I believe that was in 1.5. These days I primarily use Stunning Swirl and Chaotic Pull for 30-second recycle impairs. AoW retains some value as a forced taunt and for its defensive benefits, however, other than a new nightmare tank you generally don’t need defense. My NM tanking builds these days are organized around offense and impairs.

I’m not sure what patch it was, sometime after issue #5, but Art of War’s recharge was nerfed to 45s. However, the elite Stunning Swirl (Blade/Method) is still 30s.

It probably doesn’t help that Funcom have decided to freeze people’s accounts after a month of B2P and then send them a confusing and very poorly worded email saying that their “subscription” has now expired.
Judging by the forum posts it looks like Funcom are committed to chasing away as many new TSW players as they can with their ill advised mail-outs and atrocious customer service.
Oh, and the TSW fight mechanics are absolutely appalling, it’s pretty obvious the game was nowhere near ready and they just rushed it through because the accountants told them it had to be released.
I’m looking forward to seeing Funcom crash and burn this year, no company can sustain itself with such substandard output and third-rate customer support, they’re doomed.
